It has been a long time since I last completed a project, but the quilt for baby B is now at its new home awaiting the arrival of its new owner so it is time to blog about it!
I decided to do the Garden Fence pattern that I had been eyeing for quite awhile. As you know from my progress posts it actually took me quite awhile to get through, it was the most time consuming piecing I have done to date, mostly because there was so much pressing between each and every step. But I am really happy with the way it turned out!
Photos in this post are courtesy of the recipient. I took my photos at night and am clearly not as skilled as she is with a camera. It’s nice to have some better photos to show this one off. I posted my own photos to my Flickr account so they should be visible on the side bar to the right.
How it arrived:

Still loving the new labels, they were a really great investment:
Some quilting detail (long armed – I just didn’t have the energy to tackle it myself this time):
Is there anything more perfect that stripy binding? I always love it.
And finally in its new home:
I hope mom and baby B spend many hours curled up under this quilt. It really was a pleasure to make. I always enjoy the process of watching it come together and of course giving away to people I care about.
Now we just need to meet the new little one!

Your quilt is beautiful! What a great color combo & nice fabrics for the pattern!
J, absolutely LOVE it! It’s fantastic. The colours are gorgeous, the piecing is fantastic!
