Solid Love

4 Feb

So I have a confession.

I have a slight obsession with solid fabrics. It started innocently enough with picking the perfect sashing for a quilt, but has since morphed into a beast. I can’t resist the pull.

Here is my currently unsorted solid stash:

Well that’s some of it at least….there is also these scrap packs.

And all these rolls that I can’t bear to break apart!

And the newest addition, Amy Butler solids, which I have not used yet but the colours are gorgeous.

I also have a bin full of some less exciting, but very practical colours, mostly white variations.

The key to finding the perfect solid is to have a swatch card. I spent $20 on this Kona Cotton swatch card, but it was $20 well spent. This is how I make sure I’m ordering the perfect solid to compliment my quilts.

I have a great many plans for my solid stash though, so stay tuned!
