Block-A-Palooza 13

15 Mar

Well sadly the week I got my new sewing machine I was busy with a course for my accounting designation, and as soon as that was over my husband and I both got sick. Needless to say there has not been much time spent in the sewing room for the past 5 days.

Tonight I was starting to feel a little better so decided to tackle Block 13. Block 13 was designed by Tia at Camp Follower Bags and Quilts. I actually had just enough fabric to pull this one off as designed (mostly) although there is an extra seam in one of the blocks.

All cut up:

March 9 2011 (1 of 3)

The offending seam:

March 9 2011 (2 of 3)

I like to think of it as art.

And the block all completed:

March 15 2011 (1 of 1)

I like the way this one turned out, especially the little mini frame on the inner 9 patch.

If you’re interested in looking at what others are doing I encourage you to check out the Flickr group, there are some amazing blocks and colour selections.

Love how you ‘pieced’ the portion for the B-a-P block…looks great. Anxious to see the layout for the finished quilt. Concerned, thought, that this last block will have more machine applique!
