Aviary 2

7 Apr

I have had my eye on Joel Dewberry’s new line, Aviary 2, for quite awhile. I eagerly anticipated the March delivery and as soon as I was able to buy some I pounced.  This will not last long!

It started innocently enough when I decided that this fabric was the perfect binding for the twin sized quilt I’m working on.

But when I saw the rest of the line I knew I had to have it all. It’s beautiful, modern, sophisticated, but still playful and I love it.

I can’t decide which colorway I like more.

Or Saffron:

I have so many ideas swirling through my head. If I just had the time to execute.

First thing was first though, the idea that started it all:

All ready for when that quilt comes back to me tomorrow. If you’re looking for me this weekend I’ll be sitting on the couch hand stitching.

Funny – I was just gifted some fat quarters of the lilac colorway! Can’t wait to see what you come up with! And I agree….that brown is a great binding!

Do you have big plans for it? I noticed a bunch is sold out already at some stores. I kind of feel like I need to save it for something really special.

Yeah I like that one a lot too, thinking of finally making something for myself with it.
