What’s Next?

29 Dec

Things are quiet in the sewing room right now. All my space is piled high with baby things and fabric is stacked all over the floor and my tables. I have finished most of my ongoing projects. Now the questions I always seem to get is “what are you making for your baby?”, something I’ve been thinking about but haven’t been putting much effort into.

Well the time has come. We now know we are having a baby girl and I have spent a lot of time thinking about how I want the nursery to look. I only have 13 weeks left until my due date so it’s time to get started.

Here is my room inspiration. I’m going for soft grey with just a hint of pink (perhaps even less than these photos). I want the room to feels soft and open.

I will be painting the walls a soft grey and bought some animal prints from The Animal Print Shop for the walls.

So that is my starting point. I don’t know what quilt pattern I will use yet but I want a fairly simple design. I ordered some fabric today but need to see it in person and combined with things from my stash to make final decisions. I am hoping that this fabric will be the star of the show:

So that’s what’s hopefully happening next in my sewing room.

Thanks for the link to the animal print shop! I’m doing the nursery in a Noah’s ark theme!

I wonder what color/brand paint you used for the gray walls? Thanks!
