Adventures in Dress Making: Part II

23 May

I got a few more hours to sew tonight!

I tackled day 2 of the Family Reunion sew-along that I started on last week.

Day 2 was all about pintucks and the button tab. This was my first time sewing pintucks but I think they turned out okay.

Here are the back pieces:

A few of the lines got a little crooked, I think from my marking, not sewing; but I’m forging ahead. I don’t expect this to turn out perfectly.

Here is the front complete with button tab. I added the orange accent around the tab. It is not in the pattern but was in the sew-along, and it is critical to connecting my project to my sewing buddy’s.

And a little detail shot:

Day 3 is a little more complicated and where I actually get into some construction. Wish me luck!

Looks great! Such cute fabric. Sewing kids clothes is addictive.
